What I did this week (Week 54)

Writing to you from Blanca, Colorado.

I can’t say that this week has been all that eventful. It’s been a few days since I came back from working on a wildland fire, and I’ve just been trying to enjoy a break.

As I write this to you, I’m camping near the base of Mount Blanca with my girlfriend. We are here for a night, then we will head back home.

What matters isn’t what I’ve done this week (which isn’t much) it’s what my plan is for the coming week.

Today I turn 19 years old. I figure that I might as well do something that freaks me out, so I’m going skydiving for the first time.

It would be interesting to get a skydiving license at some point.

Other than that, my plan is to get back out on a fire as soon as possible once my girlfriend leaves town. I’m thinking that I’d like to stay out on fires for another month or two.

It’s good money and good experience.

The only thing I need to make sure I do is find other online courses and things to study in order…
