Ranch work

This week started off good with some cattle work.

It was time for us to start putting ear tags on the calves. So, we brought them to the corral.

We took some time to separate the male and female calves in order to count them and record how many we have now.

We brought them through the chute, tagged them, and treated them for any injuries they had.

Typically there will be a few calves/cows with minor injuries. Oftentimes there hooves and feet will get messed up. In that case, we disinfect the wound and administer antibiotics.
